Observatory Submitting Outdoor Radon Data to Global Atmosphere Watch (GAW)
Starting in 2026, the Observatory regularly submits outdoor radon (Rn-222) activity concentration data from the King's Park Meteorological Station to the World Data Centre for Greenhouse Gases under the World Meteorological Organization Global Atmosphere Watch programme, for climate research and atmospheric analyses by global meteorological agencies and scholars. Hong Kong Observatory Participates in Joint Working Group Meeting of Asian Aviation Meteorological Center
The Hong Kong Observatory, the Air Traffic Management Bureau of the Civil Aviation Administration of China, and the China Meteorological Administration gathered at the Joint Working Group Meeting of the Asian Aviation Meteorological Center to advance collaborative efforts and engage in in-depth exchanges on aviation weather services for the region.
