Annual Outlook for 2025
The Observatory has issued the annual outlook for 2025. It is expected that the number of tropical cyclones coming within 500 kilometres of Hong Kong this year will be normal to above normal. The annual rainfall in Hong Kong for this year is expected to be near normal. As the climate continues warming, the annual mean temperature in Hong Kong is expected to be above normal this year. Rain-related projections of Hong Kong for the 21st century updated
The Observatory used the climate model data from the Sixth Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and adopted contemporary statistical methods to update the projections of the 20-year average of the annual number of days with rain and average rainfall intensity in Hong Kong in the 21st century.(More……)

Latest Developments in Global Climate Change
