Enhancement of Services Related to Tropical Cyclones
Severe weather and related impacts accompanying tropical cyclones – such as high winds, heavy rain and storm surges – may have a combined effect that poses potential risks to Hong Kong. Since the end of June 2022, the Observatory has enhanced information services on significant effects resulting from a combination of wind, rain and storm surge, so that members of the public can take early protective measures. Special Alert on Prolonged Heat
since mid-July this year, When there are persistent high temperatures, the Observatory will push “Prolonged Heat Alert” special weather tips through the “MyObservatory” mobile app.(More……)
