Sea State Model Forecast Time Range Extended from Four to Six Days

The Observatory has extended the sea state model forecast on the “Earth Weather” and “Meteorological Information for Fishermen” webpages from four to six days, providing forecasts including waves, swells, and sea currents. This helps the shipping communities, fishing sector, and personnel engaged in maritime operations and activities in the South China Sea or the western North Pacific to gain a more comprehensive understanding of potential changes in sea state in the region.
