How to Obtain The Observatory Publications

The Observatory publishes different categories of publications including general publications, publicity publications, information leaflets, data summaries, and technical reports.


Publicity Publications and Information Leaflets

These publications can be accessed online, they can also be obtained free of charge at District Offices and at the Hong Kong Observatory Resource Centre.

Free Distribution of Observatory Publications

The Observatory publications are distributed free to local institutions and overseas meteorological centres having exchange agreements with the Observatory.

Where there is no exchange agreement, publications of the Observatory other than those for sale may be distributed free to institutions or individuals with genuine needs for the publications subject to availability of stock. Subscription to Daily Weather Map and Monthly Weather Summary (Cessation)

Starting from January 2012, the Hong Kong Observatory will distribute the following publications on the Internet and cease the hardcopy publications with effect from January 2012:

      Daily Weather Chart
      Monthly Weather Summary

The public can browse or download the above two publications online at the following Observatory's webpage:
https://www.hko.gov.hk/en/publica/pubdata.htm.

Please also note that no new subscriptions to the Daily Weather Map and Monthly Weather Summary would be accepted starting from January 2012. Present subscribers would still be provided with hardcopies of the publications until their present subscriptions have expired.
