New Book Recommendation: More than a Silver Lining

David Lam Hok-yin

The Hong Kong Meteorological Society has published a new book, More than a Silver Lining – Deciphering the Clouds and Atmospheric Optical Phenomena (in Chinese). It features nearly 200 photos of the most spectacular and special images of clouds and atmospheric optical phenomena taken all over the world. The majority of the photos are masterpieces taken by Community Weather Observing Scheme (CWOS) group members, showing the beauty of nature. Besides high-quality photos, there are also nice illustrations explaining the science of the weather phenomena and the underlying formation mechanisms, which are of great reference value. The book is now available in major bookstores.
