Observatory colleague conducted technical exchanges on aviation meteorology in Europe

Ng Yin-lam

Dr Ng Yin-lam, Scientific Officer of the Hong Kong Observatory, attended the international conference “Managing the Impact of Weather on Air and Space Launch Operations” held in Brussels on 12 and 13 November, to discuss with experts the impact of weather on aviation operations and research directions to enhance weather resilience in aviation operations. Dr Ng also visited EUROCONTROL and Météo-France on 11 and 14 November, respectively, for exchanges. The experience gained from this visit to Europe will help the Observatory to continue enhancing its aviation weather services.
