Observatory colleague participates in the Global Climate Observing System Reference Upper-Air Network meeting

Mr Lam Ming-chun, Scientific Officer of the Hong Kong Observatory, attended the 16th Implementation and Coordination Meeting of the World Meteorological Organization Global Climate Observing System Reference Upper-Air Network (GRUAN) in Tenerife, Spain, from 17 to 21 November 2025. Mr Lam introduced the upper-air observation operations and latest developments at the Observatory’s King’s Park Meteorological Station. The meeting brought together dozens of upper-air observation experts and representatives from around the world, for in-depth exchanges on topics such as the latest developments in radiosonde technology, data quality management, and enhancing data sharing.
