Under the intermediate (SSP2-4.5) and very high (SSP5-8.5) greenhouse gas emissions scenarios, the annual maximum daily rainfall in Hong Kong in 2081-2100 is projected to increase by about 16.0% and 28.1% respectively, compared to the average of 1995-2014 (203mm, at the reference station Hong Kong Observatory).
