Aeronautical Meteorology Adviser of Hong Kong Observatory visits meteorological and aviation authorities in South Korea

Mr Lee Kwok-lun, an Aeronautical Meteorological Adviser of the Hong Kong Observatory stationed at the Integrated Airport Centre of the Hong Kong International Airport, visited the Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) and the Air Traffic Command Centre (ATCC) in Korea from 11th to 13 February 2025.

During the visit, Mr Lee met with experts of the Aviation Meteorology Office of KMA in Incheon, exchanged views on the latest developments in aviation weather technologies and services, and discussed opportunities for future cooperation between the Hong Kong Observatory and KMA. Mr Lee also visited the ATCC in Daegu, to understand the work of KMA’s Aviation Meteorological Analyst at the centre, with a particular focus on the implementation of collaborative decision making among aviation stakeholders in Korea.
