Due to the stronger than usual subtropical ridge persisting over southern China, Hong Kong experienced the hottest summer – from June to August 2020 – since records began. With 13 consecutive hot nights from 19 June to 1 July, the record of number of consecutive hot nights was also broken. (More……)
