Our Team
There are four departmental grades at the Hong Kong Observatory (HKO), namely Scientific Officer, Experimental Officer, Scientific Assistant and Radar Specialist Mechanic grades. Each grade comprises different ranks.
The Observatory currently has more than 20 Divisions working in different areas including weather, climate, seismology, radioactivity, hydrometeorology, physical oceanography, aviation meteorology, marine meteorology, applied meteorology and corporate communication, etc.
To meet the pace and needs for development, the Observatory also recruits Information Technology (IT) contract staff to develop software and applications related to scientific research and services. Here below our analyst programmers shared on their work and personal experience at the Observatory:
