Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong
Observatory.

An active southwest monsoon is bringing showers and
thunderstorms to the coast of Guangdong and the northern
part of the South China Sea. Locally, over 30 millimetres of
rainfall were recorded over many places this morning, and
rainfall even exceeded 40 millimetres over eastern part of
the territory.

At noon, Tropical Storm Gaemi was centred about 180
kilometres east-southeast of Wuhan. It is forecast to move
northwest or north-northwest at about 15 kilometres per hour
across Hubei and weaken further.

Weather forecast for this afternoon and tonight

Cloudy with showers and squally thunderstorms. Showers will
be heavy at times at first. Moderate to fresh south to
southwesterly winds, occasionally strong offshore and on
high ground at first.

Outlook : There will be showers and squally thunderstorms in
the next couple of days. Showers will be heavy at times.
There will still be a few showers midweek next week.
