Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory. A broad trough of low pressure is bringing showers to the coast of Guangdong and the northern part of the South China Sea. Locally, around 20 millimetres of rainfall were recorded over the eastern part of Hong Kong Island and Cheung Chau this morning. At 5 a.m., Tropical Depression Saudel was centred about 170 kilometres south-southeast of Nanchang. It is forecast to move west-southwest at about 18 kilometres per hour across the inland areas of eastern China and continue to weaken. Weather forecast for today Mainly cloudy with a few showers. Isolated thunderstorms at first. Very hot with sunny intervals during the day. The maximum temperature will be around 33 degrees. Light to moderate west to southwesterly winds. Outlook : The weather will be unsettled tomorrow and on Monday. Still a few showers in the following couple of days.
