Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory. Areas of thundery showers associated with a trough of low pressure are affecting the coast of Guangdong and the northern part of the South China Sea. At 5 a.m., Tropical Storm Mekkhala was centred about 550 kilometres southwest of Osaka. It is forecast to move east-northeast at about 55 kilometres per hour across the seas south of Japan. Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Higos was centred about 90 kilometres south of Tokyo. It is forecast to move northeast at about 75 kilometres per hour edging closer to the vicinity of Honshu of Japan. Weather forecast for today Mainly cloudy with occasional showers and a few squally thunderstorms. Showers will be heavier in some areas. The maximum temperature will be around 30 degrees. Light to moderate southwesterly winds. Outlook : Showers will be heavier in some areas with thunderstorms tomorrow. There will still be showers on Monday. Becoming very hot with sunny periods and one or two showers midweek next week.
