"Popular Science Lecture Series by Distinguished Meteorologists" to commemorate the 120th anniversary of Hong Kong Observatory (9 October 2003)

The Hong Kong Observatory and the Hong Kong Science Museum will jointly present a "Popular Science Lecture Series by Distinguished Meteorologists" starting from October 18. The public lecture series is a part of the events to commemorate the 120th anniversary of Hong Kong Observatory this year. It aims at enhancing the public's interest in and understanding of the weather.

The guest speakers are all world renowned scientists specializing in the various fields of atmospheric science. They have made remarkable contributions to the development of contemporary meteorology.

It is not often that such distinguished scientists come to Hong Kong and talk to us. These lectures are not to be missed.

The lectures will be conducted in Cantonese or Putonghua at the Lecture Hall of the Hong Kong Science Museum. The time for the lectures will be from 2:30 pm to 4 pm. Admission is free. Seats are available on a first come, first served basis.
