The twentieth issue of Online Quiz Games - Radiation Protection

Following the previous issue of the online quiz games on radiation monitoring and assessment by the Hong Kong Observatory, this issue will test your knowledge on radiation protection.

There are three main measures of radiation protection, including (1) minimizing the time of being exposed to a radiation field; (2) increasing the distance from a radiation source; and (3) setting up an appropriate shielding to block radiation or reduce the radiation intensity. Besides, in the unlikely event of a nuclear incident, the prime step is 'do not panic and stay calm' because the hazards caused by panic are often more severe than those caused by the nuclear incident itself. The government will timely announce the latest information and advise the public to take protection measures as necessary.

This is the second last issue of the online quiz games. If you have not participated in the previous quizzes, please do not miss the chance and have a try! This issue will end on 27 December.
