The eighth issue of Online Quiz Games - Where do Lightning and Thunder come from?

Lightning and thunder are characteristics of a thunderstorm. Lightning is an atmospheric electric discharge phenomenon. The large electric current flowing through the atmosphere generates a large amount of heat energy and strong flashes of lightning. The energy heats up the surrounding air, causing rapid air expansion and resulting in strong shocks and loud thunders that often accompany lightning. How much do you know about thunderstorms?
