Additional wind information at Stanley

On 28 July 2005, regional wind information on the Hong Kong Observatory Internet website (http://www.weather.gov.hk/wxinfo/ts/index_wind_e.htm) and Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) website (http://pda.hko.gov.hk/windehk.htm) was enhanced with the addition of wind speed and direction at Stanley. The information can also be obtained from the Observatory's Dial-a-Weather system (1878 200 - 3#227).

The additional wind information at Stanley is particularly useful for those with operational needs and members of the public taking part in sports or recreational activities like windsurfing. The data will be updated every 10 minutes.
