HKO Website Won the "Best .hk Website Awards 2014"

The Hong Kong Observatory (HKO) website was awarded the gold prize under the "Government Departments" stream and also the "Most Liked .hk Website" in the "Best .hk Website Awards 2014" . The HKO website has received the gold award yet again under the "Government Departments" stream after winning the same award in 2011 and 2013.

The "Best .hk Website Awards 2014" was organized by the Hong Kong Internet Registration Corporation Limited (HKIRC). The HKO website was unanimously acclaimed by the Panel of Judges for the continuous improvement of its webpages and introduction of new services and products in meeting the diversified needs of users in the local community. Among over 470 entries, the HKO website received the highest number of votes from online public voting and was awarded the newly introduced "Most Liked .hk Website".

To enhance user experience, personalized version and mobile version are both provided on the HKO website. The mobile app, MyObservatory , is also highly popular with more than 4.8 million copies downloaded so far.
