Joining Hands with Drainage Services Department in School Talk on Climate Change

13 November 2015

To promote students' awareness on climate change and understanding of adaptation measures, the Observatory joined hands with the Drainage Services Department (DSD) to organize a climate change talk for more than 100 students at Yu Chun Keung Memorial College on 28 October 2015.

Speaker from the Observatory presented the scientific basis and impacts of climate change, while DSD introduced the concept of water bodies revitalization in coping with climate change and its sustainable drainage system. Encouraged by the overall positive response received, the Observatory and DSD plan to organize similar school talks on climate change in the future.
