In May 2022, the Observatory launched a new version of the “MyObservatory” app, including a home screen with a more personalised design. In addition to essential real-time weather reports, weather warnings and signals, regional weather forecasts, location-based rain and lightning forecasts, and radar images, etc. can also be found on the home screen – making browsing the app more convenient. The app allows users to choose locations that they want to keep an eye on, so that they can stay abreast of the weather including rainfall in different parts of Hong Kong.
