Ocean heat content

The global ocean heat content reached another record high in 2021, with the seven highest records all in the past seven years. Given the backdrop of ongoing warming, it is expected that the intensity of tropical cyclones will increase, and the threat of storm surges accompanying tropical cyclones will increase accordingly.
