“Total Sky Imager Design Competition”: Promoting knowledge of meteorological measurements through cloud appreciation

Hong Kong Observatory, the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Hong Kong and Hong Kong Meteorological Society jointly organised the “Total Sky Imager Design Competition”. This aimed to enhance students’ knowledge of and interest in science, engineering, information technology and meteorological instrumentation. The organisers gave a series of talks on meteorology and engineering. The award presentation ceremony was held in early July at the Observatory’s Headquarters.
