Observatory colleague conducts on-site aviation meteorology training for Fiji Meteorological Service and Solomon Islands Meteorological Service

Mr Lau Dick-sum, Chief Experimental Officer of the Observatory and lead assessor of the Observatory’s aviation forecasting team, visited the Fiji Meteorological Service and the Solomon Islands Meteorological Service from 29 September to 3 October 2025, and conducted aviation meteorology training for the two organisations. This training was in accordance with the separate Memoranda of Understanding on Cooperation signed between the Observatory and the Fiji Meteorological Service and the Solomon Islands Meteorological Service in 2024.
