Annual mean temperatures have been recorded at the Hong Kong Observatory Headquarters since 1885, except for a break during World War II from 1940 to 1946. Analysis of the annual mean temperature showed that there was an increasing rate of 0.14℃ per decade during 1885-2023. The increasing rate was 0.30℃ per decade during 1994-2023.
Note: The temperature increasing trends during 1885-2023 and 1994-2023 are statistically significant at 5% level.
