More Observatory’s datasets released on Government Public Sector Information (PSI) Portal and Common Spatial Data Infrastructure (CSDI) portal (2024)

The Hong Kong Observatory (HKO) has been releasing weather data in machine-readable format on its website since 2012.  The data are also available on the PSI Portal (DATA.GOV.HK) and CSDI Portal (PORTAL.CSDI.GOV.HK).  With a view to opening up more data for free use by the public, HKO released 4 new datasets today (19 June 2024):

• Daily maximum and mean Hong Kong Heat Index (PSI/CSDI)

• Daily mean dew point temperature (PSI/CSDI)

• Daily mean wet bulb temperature (PSI/CSDI)

• Tropical cyclone best track data (post analysis) (PSI/CSDI)

All datasets can also be found in the HKO website.
