9-Day Weather Forecast General Situation: Tropical Cyclone Matmo will move into inland Guangxi and weaken gradually today. With Matmo departing, the weather will improve over the coast of Guangdong today. An anticyclone aloft will bring generally fine and persistently very hot weather to southern China in the middle and latter parts of this week. Meanwhile, a broad trough of low pressure is expected to affect the vicinity of the east of the Philippines to the central part of the South China Sea. It will gradually edge closer to the northern part of the South China Sea and the coast of southern China early next week. There will be more showers over the region.
