Crooked Island to the northeast of Plover Cove Reservoir was badly flooded during the passage of Mangkhut this year. Flooding with depth over 2 feet was once recorded in many locations on the island. Residents described that the situation was even more severe than that caused by Hato in 2017. In this episode of "Special Series for Mangkhut", the residents will recall the devastating scenes on the island. We shall also explain the causes of the more severe storm surge triggered by Mangkhut than that by Hato.
