Warnings:
Severe squally thunderstorms in Hong Kong adjacent waters.
Strong winds in all areas.
Weather Situation:
The northeast monsoon is affecting the coastal waters of
Guangdong. Meanwhile, severe squally thunderstorms are
affecting the vicinity of the Pearl River Estuary.
At 10 a.m., the tropical depression over the central part of
the South China Sea with maximum sustained winds of about 45
kilometres per hour near its centre was located at 17.1
degrees north, 107.8 degrees east. It is forecast to move
west-northwest at about 12 kilometres per hour towards the
coast of Vietnam.

Hong Kong Adjacent Waters:
East force 5 to 6, gusts occasionally up to force 11 at
first.
Occasional heavy showers and severe squally thunderstorms.
Rough seas.
Nan'ao:
Northeast force 5 to 6, up to force 7 later.
Scattered showers and squally thunderstorms.
Moderate to rough seas.
Shanwei:
East to northeast force 5 to 6.
Scattered showers and squally thunderstorms.
Moderate to rough seas.
South of Hong Kong and Shangchuan Dao:
East to southeast force 5 to 6.
Occasional heavy showers and squally thunderstorms.
Moderate to rough seas.
