South China Coastal Waters

Warnings:
Strong winds in Hong Kong adjacent waters, Nan'ao, Shanwei
and south of Hong Kong.

Weather Situation:
The southwest monsoon is affecting the south China coastal
waters.

At noon, Tropical Storm Gaemi with maximum sustained winds
of about 65 kilometres per hour near its centre was located
at 29.8 degrees north, 115.7 degrees east. It is forecast to
move northwest or north-northwest at about 15 kilometres per
hour across Hubei and weaken further.

Area forecasts for the next 24 hours

Hong Kong Adjacent Waters:
South to southwest force 4 to 5, occasionally force 6 at
first.
Heavy showers and squally thunderstorms.
Moderate seas, rough at first.

Nan'ao, Shanwei and South of Hong Kong:
South to southwest force 4 to 5, up to force 6 at first.
Scattered showers and squally thunderstorms.
Moderate seas, rough at first.

Shangchuan Dao:
South to southwest force 4 to 5.
Isolated showers and squally thunderstorms.
Moderate seas.

Outlook for the following 48 hours 
Southerly winds of force 4 to 5. Scattered heavy showers and
squally thunderstorms.
