At 5 a.m., the tropical depression over the central part of the South China Sea with maximum sustained winds of about 55 kilometres per hour near its centre was located at 15.5 degrees north, 113.4 degrees east. It is forecast to move west-northwest at about 12 kilometres per hour across the central part of the South China Sea.
