9-Day Weather Forecast General Situation: A dry northeast monsoon will affect southern China in the next few days. Tropical Cyclone Fung-wong will move towards Luzon today. It will then enter the northeastern part of the South China Sea, with a higher chance of turning northwards and moving in the general direction of the vicinity of Taiwan. Under the influence of the monsoon, Fung-wong will weaken gradually. However, the location of its turn and its rate of weakening remain uncertain. Under the combined effect of the monsoon and Fung-wong, it will be windy and slightly cooler with swells over the coast of Guangdong early to midweek this week. With Fung-wong departing, the weather will improve gradually over the region in the latter part of this week.
