9-Day Weather Forecast General Situation: The tropical cyclone now over the central part of the South China Sea will intensify gradually and move in the general direction of Hainan Island in the next couple of days. It will then move towards the vicinity of the coast of western Guangdong. There will be heavy squally showers and thunderstorms over the coast of Guangdong in the latter part of this week. It will be windy with swells. The tropical cyclone will then move inland. However, under the influence of an active southerly airstream, there will still be a few showers over Guangdong early next week.
