9-Day Weather Forecast General Situation: A broad trough of low pressure will bring unsettled weather to the coast of Guangdong and the northern part of the South China Sea today and tomorrow. The remnant of Saudel will bring unsettled weather to the vicinity of Leizhou Peninsula to Hainan Island today and intensifying gradually into a tropical cyclone over the vicinity of the southeastern coast of Hainan Island later today. The low pressure system is expected to move eastwards across the northern part of the South China Sea and edge closer to the coast of eastern Guangdong gradually. However, there are still uncertainties in its intensity. A relatively dry continental airstream will affect southern China gradually in the middle and latter parts of this week, showers will ease off over the region. On the other hand, an area of low pressure over the western North Pacific to the east of the Philippines will develop gradually today, and move towards the vicinity of the Ryukyu Islands.
