9-Day Weather Forecast General Situation: Under the influence of the outer subsiding air of Tropical Cyclone Podul, the weather will be very hot over southern China tomorrow. Showers triggered by high temperatures will affect the region. Meanwhile, Podul will intensify gradually and move westwards across the southern part of Taiwan. It will then make landfall again over the vicinity of eastern Guangdong and southern Fujian, and weaken. The heavy squally showers and thunderstorms associated with Podul will affect the coastal areas of Guangdong on Thursday and Friday. There will be swells. With Podul departing and the anticyclone aloft strengthening, the weather will improve over the region during the weekend. A broad trough of low pressure is expected to form over the central part of the South China Sea during the weekend to early next week. It will move northwards and bring unsettled weather to western Guangdong to the vicinity of Beibu Wan. An area of low pressure may form over the broad trough of low pressure.
