Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong
Observatory.

The weather is mainly fine over Guangdong. Besides, a broad
trough of low pressure is bringing unsettled weather to the
central and northern parts of the South China Sea.

At 10 a.m., Tropical Storm Bavi was centred about 110
kilometres southeast of Xuzhou. It is forecast to move
north-northeast or northeast at about 14 kilometres per hour
across eastern China and weaken gradually. Meanwhile, the
area of low pressure over the western North Pacific has
intensified into a tropical depression and was named
Haishen. Haishen was centred about 250 kilometres northeast
of Yap. It is forecast to move northwest at about 25
kilometres per hour across the western North Pacific.

Weather forecast for today

Sunny periods and a few showers. Very hot during the day.
Isolated thunderstorms later. Light to moderate southerly
winds.

Outlook : Showers will be heavy at times with squally
thunderstorms on Tuesday and Wednesday. The weather will
remain unsettled in the latter part of this week.
