Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory. A dry northeast monsoon is affecting the coast of Guangdong. Locally, the relative humidity over most parts of the territory stayed below 60 per cent in the afternoon. At 4 p.m., Tropical Storm Fung-wong was centred about 70 kilometres south of Gaoxiong. It is forecast to move northeast or east-northeast at about 18 kilometres per hour, edging closer to the vicinity of the southern part of Taiwan and weakening gradually. Weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow Becoming cloudy. Slightly cooler tomorrow morning. The minimum temperature will be about 20 degrees in the urban areas, and a couple of degrees lower in the New Territories. Dry with sunny periods during the day. The maximum temperature will be around 24 degrees. Moderate to fresh northerly winds, occasionally strong on high ground at first. Outlook : Dry with sunny periods in the following couple of days. Warm during the day early next week. Becoming cool appreciably and windy next Tuesday and Wednesday.
