South China Coastal Waters

Warnings:
Strong winds in Nan'ao, Shanwei, south of Hong Kong and
Shangchuan Dao.

Weather Situation:
The northeast monsoon is affecting the south China coastal
waters.

At 5 a.m., the tropical depression over the seas east of the
Philippines with maximum sustained winds of about 45
kilometres per hour near its centre was located at 11.7
degrees north, 126.1 degrees east. It is forecast to move
west at about 10 kilometres per hour across the central and
southern parts of the Philippines.

Area forecasts for the next 24 hours

Hong Kong Adjacent Waters:
East to northeast force 4 to 5.
Visibility relatively low in some areas.
Moderate seas.

Nan'ao:
Northeast force 5 to 6.
Moderate to rough seas.

Shanwei and South of Hong Kong:
East to northeast force 5 to 6.
Moderate to rough seas.

Shangchuan Dao:
East to northeast force 4 to 5, occasionally force 6.
Moderate to rough seas.

Outlook for the following 48 hours 
East to northeasterly winds of force 5 to 6, up to force 7
later, up to force 8 in east.
