South China Coastal Waters

Weather Situation:
A westerly airstream is affecting the south China coastal
waters.

At noon, Tropical Storm Krovanh with maximum sustained winds
of about 75 kilometres per hour near its centre was located
at 25.8 degrees north, 129.7 degrees east, it is forecast to
move east at about 12 kilometres per hour across the seas
east of the Ryukyu Islands.

Area forecasts for the next 24 hours

Hong Kong Adjacent Waters:
West to northwest force 3 to 4.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms.
Slight to moderate seas.

Nan'ao and Shanwei:
Northeast force 4.
Isolated showers and thunderstorms.
Moderate seas.

South of Hong Kong and Shangchuan Dao:
West to southwest force 4, occasionally force 5.
Isolated showers and thunderstorms.
Moderate seas.

Outlook for the following 48 hours 
West to southwesterly winds of force 4, occasionally force
5, becoming east to northeasterly winds of up to force 6.
Isolated showers and squally thunderstorms.
