Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory. The northeast monsoon affecting the coast of Guangdong moderated gradually yesterday. Locally, it was mainly cloudy. There were one or two rain patches in the morning. Sunny intervals during the day. Besides, a cold front formed over central China yesterday and moved southwards gradually. It is expected to move across the coast of Guangdong at first today. Under the influence of the associated intense northeast monsoon, winds will strengthen from the north and temperatures will fall appreciably over the region. The weather will be generally fine and very dry over Guangdong in the next couple of days. It will be cool in the morning. The temperature difference between day and night will be rather large. At 11 p.m. last night, Severe Tropical Storm Cempaka was centred about 580 kilometres west-southwest of Iwo Jima. It is forecast to move west-northwest at about 10 kilometres per hour across the western North Pacific. Weather forecast for Hong Kong (Monday, 9 Nov 2026) Mainly cloudy with one or two rain patches in the morning, it will be cooler with temperatures of about 22 degrees. Becoming fine and dry during the day with a maximum temperature of around 26 degrees. Temperatures will fall further to a minimum of about 19 degrees in the urban areas at night, and a couple of degrees lower in the New Territories. Moderate easterly winds, becoming fresh northerlies, strong offshore and up to gale force on high ground. Outlook : The minimum temperature on Tuesday morning will be about 16 degrees in the urban areas, and a couple of degrees lower in the New Territories. It will still be rather cool in the New Territories on Wednesday morning. The temperature difference between day and night will be rather large. Temperatures will rise progressively in the latter part of this week.
