Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong
Observatory.

The subtropical ridge is bringing generally fine weather to
southeastern China. Meanwhile, showers are affecting the
coast of Guangdong.

At 8 a.m., the tropical depression over the seas east of the
Philippines was centred about 900 kilometres east of Manila.
It is forecast to move west-northwest at about 25 kilometres
per hour in the general direction of the vicinity of Luzon
Strait.

Weather forecast for today

Mainly fine, apart from isolated showers at first. Very hot
during the day with a maximum temperature of around 34
degrees in the urban areas, and a couple of degrees higher
in the New Territories. Light to moderate southerly winds.

Outlook : Mainly fine and very hot tomorrow. Sunny intervals
on Saturday. Windy with occasional squally showers and
thunderstorms later on Saturday to Sunday. There will be
swells.
