Lightning (5th September 2018)

Lightning is an atmospheric electric discharge phenomenon and is a severe weather phenomenon commonly seen in Hong Kong. The animation below was the lightning captured by the camera at Sai Kung Marine East Station (looking towards the northeast) around the evening on 5 Sep. The thundery shower came with the lightning brought more than 30 millimetres of rainfall to Sai Kung .
