Thunderstorms and gusts (24th April 2007)

Thunderstorms frequently bring along strong gusts. Under the influence of a trough of low pressure over southern China, there were heavy rain and squally thunderstorms on 24 April 2007. The Red Rainstorm Warning Signal was issued that day. Peak gust reaching gale force was recorded by Lau Fau Shan AWS at 10:01 a.m. The weather camera captured a small tree being violently swayed by strong winds.
