Fair weather cumulus (5th July 2005)

In summer, fair weather cumulus clouds are often seen in Hong Kong during sunny days. These clouds appear with puffy tops and flat bases. They often develop during the day and dissipate by the evening. Notice the blue sky and the mountains clearly visible at a distance. Such a good visibility is normally associated with winds blowing form the south, as happened that day (5 July 2005).
