Sand and Dust Weather Information

The Sand and Dust Storm Warning Advisory and Assessment System (SDS-WAS) is a project of World Meteorological Organization (WMO) aiming at improving the capability of observing and forecasting sandstorm/duststorm. In the Asia/Central Pacific region, a regional centre is hosted by the China Meteorological Administration for this project. It coordinates regional sand and dust storm monitoring and forecasting systems to provide timely observations, forecasts and information on sand and dust related weather over the Asia/Central Pacific region.
