The Observatory launches the Climatological Normals for 1981-2010

     The 30-year climatological normals of meteorological elements measured at the Hong Kong Observatory Headquarters and other key meteorological stations in Hong Kong have been updated based on the data for the period between 1981 and 2010 to serve as a benchmark against which the recent or future observations can be compared.  Members of the public can access information of the climatological normals for 1981-2010 at the Observatory's "Climatological Information Webpage" (http://www.hko.gov.hk/cis/normal_e.htm) starting 3rd January 2012.  Information of the normals for 1961-1990 and 1971-2000 are also available at the same webpage for reference.
