HKO clarifies Internet and email messages on typhoon information

In response to messages circulating on the Internet and via emails today (August 21) speculating the time of issuance of various tropical cyclone warnings , the Hong Kong Observatory clarifies that it has not issued such messages to any organisation. Members of the public are advised to pay attention to the official announcements issued by the Hong Kong Observatory on Typhoon Nuri through radio, TV and the Observatory's website: http://www.weather.gov.hk/wxinfo/currwx/tc.htm .
