Very Hot Weather Warning

It was sunny and very hot in Hong Kong today (14 July, Saturday). The Observatory recorded a maximum temperature of 34.4 degrees in the afternoon, the highest so far this year. In the New Territories, temperature at Sheung Shui rose to 36.0 degrees.

Tomorrow (15 July, Sunday), the weather in Hong Kong will continue to be very hot, with a maximum temperature of 33 degrees. Furthermore, the winds will be light to moderate. The Very Hot Weather Warning was issued by the Observatory this afternoon to remind members of the public of the very hot weather expected for tomorrow. The risk of heatstroke is high.

Members of the public who need to work outdoors or engage in outdoor activities tomorrow should drink plenty of water and avoid over exertion. If not feeling well, take a rest in the shade or cooler place as soon as possible.
