Weather Conditions on 20 October 2004

The Hong Kong Observatory would like to provide the following information in response to enquiries from the media about the weather conditions tomorrow :

Under the influence of a moderate to fresh northerly airstream, it was sunny with visibility lingering around 8 kilometres this afternoon (19 October 2004). It is forecast that the fine and dry weather will persist tomorrow (20 October 2004) but the northerly winds will subside. With lighter winds, it will be hazy over parts of the territory with visibility ranging between 4 and 8 kilometres.
