Marine Meteorological Services Survey for 2002
A survey on the meteorological services provided by the Hong Kong Observatory to the marine community has been made every year since 1989.
This year (2002), the survey was carried out in April and a total of 37 returns was received from shipmasters. Over 90% of the responses rated the marine weather forecasts issued by the Hong Kong Observatory as "very accurate" or "accurate" while all responses regarded the tropical cyclone warnings for shipping issued by the Hong Kong Observatory as "highly accurate" or "accurate".
