Science in the Public Service Campaign 10th Anniversary Roving Exhibition on "Climate Change - Our Response"

The “Science in the Public Service” (SIPS) Campaign1 enters its 10th Anniversary this year. We will organise a Roving Exhibition on “Climate Change – Our Response” at ten venues over the territory during June – November. The objectives of the Roving Exhibition are to enhance public understanding of climate change and its impact, to raise public awareness of response and to promote response actions. The exhibition will demonstrate the work of government bureaux/departments and ways of response by other organisations, community associations and members of the public in combat of climate change in five main areas (energy and living, transportation, food and water resources, safety and health, environment and sustainable development), and under three pillars (mitigation, adaptation and resilience). Let’s all of us join hands to equip better and take prompt actions for combating climate change!

(ii) Hong Kong Times Square (20 – 25 June)
(iii) Ping Shan Tin Shui Wai Public Library (15 - 26 July)
(iv) Business Environment Council Headquarters (28 July – 4 August)
(v) Exchange Square (6 – 17 August)
(vi) Kowloon Park (20 – 31 August)
(vii) Hong Kong Science Museum (2 – 18 September)
(viii) The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (17 – 27 October)
(ix) Hong Kong Science Park (29 October – 6 November)
(x) The Chinese University of Hong Kong (8 – 20 November)
Besides, a Lecture Series for the Ten Years of Passion for the SIPS Campaign will be organised at the Hong Kong Science Museum during June – December this year. There will be a total of 25 talks from more than 10 government departments, collaborating organisations and tertiary institutions, spanning a wide scope of subject areas, covering weather and climate, green living and environment, medicinal chemistry, engineering and facility, telecommunication, statistics and education. .
