The Observatory launches "My Post Card"
11 December 2015
Christmas and New Year are around the corner. The Hong Kong Observatory specially sets up "My Post Card" webpage to aid you to make customized electronic postcard to send regards to your beloved ones.
The theme of this set of electronic postcards comes from the five precious cloud pictures hand drawn by our ex-Director, Mr. Graham Heywood (the first Director of the Observatory after the Second World War). Together with different stamps in festive style, you are able to create various combinations of postcards. Each drawing is attached with a short explanatory note on the characteristics of the respective type of clouds and the formation mechanism. After choosing your favourite hand drawing and writing your greetings, it is only a simple step to save your postcard and send it to your family and friends via electronic means like email, WhatsApp, Instagram, WeChat, etc. Besides, you can also print out the postcards and save them as a festive limited edition set of the Observatory’s memorable souvenir!
Welcome to visit the "My Post Card" webpage on the Observatory's website (Figure 1) or directly by clicking the following link http://kids.weather.gov.hk/V2/postcard/epostcard.htm. The webpage will be available till end January 2016. Don’t miss it!
