2015 Public Lecture Series under the "Science in the Public Service" Campaign

A series of 16 scientific talks will be organized under the "Science in the Public Service" (SIPS) Campaign* in the Lecture Hall of the Science Museum during the period from 4 July to 10 October 2015. This year, the theme is on "Science and Environment". The contents are rich and easy-to-understand. They include climate change and the related flood protection and food safety strategies, and other topics spanning marine, land and air sides of the environment such as red tide monitoring, tree management, air quality and environmental radiation monitoring. Besides, the talks also include the use of information and communication technology and innovation statistics to promote environmental protection and facilitate sustainable development planning.
The talks are free of charge and will be conducted in Cantonese. All members of the public are welcome. Seating is on a first-come-first-served basis. The first talk of the series on "The Tolling of Climate Alarm Bells" commencing 2:30 p.m. on 4 July 2015 in the Lecture Hall of the Science Museum will show you the latest evidence of climate change and update you with the latest projection.
