"Cool Met Stuff" : Hong Kong Meridian (4): The Last Magic Stone

20 December 2019

The first pair of meridian marks were established in the earliest days of Hong Kong.  Yet, another pair of marks were built in the early twentieth century, one at the Observatory Headquarters and the other near Beacon Hill, Kowloon.  Why was another pair of marks constructed?  Do these marks still exist today?  The latest episode of "Cool Met Stuff" takes us to look for the "Last Magic Stone".

The video is now available on the "MyObservatory" mobile application and the Observatory's website for your viewing (programme is broadcasted in Cantonese).
