A million a day

Last year, the Observatory developed and launched the Weather Wizard gadget (http://www.weather.gov.hk/wxinfo/wxwizard/wxwizard.htm) which is a programme that can be conveniently downloaded to run on a user PC to display the latest weather information and warning status automatically. Because of its user-friendly features that keep users in touch with the latest weather while they are busy working, this new gadget has attracted more than 300,000 downloads since its launch. Presently, the Weather Wizard is boosting the hit rate of the Observatory website by an extra one million per day.
