WWIS selected as one of the China's entries into the World Summit Award

The World Weather Information Service (WWIS) website (http://worldweather.wmo.int/) operated by the Hong Kong Observatory (HKO) was selected in a national contest as China's entries into the World Summit Award under the e-Health & Environment Category. The World Summit Award is a global contest to select best practice in e-Content and innovative ICT applications. The national contest award was presented in the Beijing International Conference Centre on 2 November 2009.

Scientific Officer Dr Pan Chi-kin, received the award from Dr Winnie Tang in the prize presentation ceremony in Beijing for its World Weather Information Service
