HKObservatory@YouTube Hitting the 1 Million Mark

The Hong Kong Observatory's YouTube channel, launched in 2009, has become increasingly popular with the total number of video views exceeding 1 million.

The Hong Kong Observatory on its own produces weather video clips and uploads them to the YouTube channel every week. In addition to the weekly weather review and weather outlook for the coming weekend, specific topic such as knowledge in meteorology, earthquake and radiation, weather warnings or the Observatory's new services will also be included in each video clip. This aims at enhancing public education in weather and disaster preparedness.
